On a corporate level we work with The Kingfisher regularly in terms of booking meetings, corporate events and bedrooms. I can not rate Chris and the events/reservations team highly enough. They provide exceptional levels of service, never let us down and always go out of their way to exceed our expectations and ensure we return. Liaising with them is always seamless and effortless - nothing is too much trouble for them. If you're looking for an event location in Bedford please do consider The Kingfisher - their location on the river is especially lovely in the summer. Chef is great too - the food has always been very good - even when catering for large numbers. Just the bedrooms that are starting to look a little tired and in need of a bit of investment - but are more than perfectly acceptable and are always immaculately clean with high quality bedding and linen. However, this does not stop me recommending The Kingfisher enough!

Such a lovely hotel. Staff were so welcoming and friendly, rooms were clean. Bed was on the firm side but was still comfortable. My partner and I really enjoyed our stay and will be back, we highly reccomend.

Came here as a large family group for Sunday lunch to celebrate a birthday. Lunch was absolutely lovely. 10/10 Everyone commented on how nice the food was. The restaurant/hotel/venue spaces are attractive, well looked after and set in very pretty grounds overlooking the river. Staff are friendly and cheerful. We had a really good experience.

Good value for money. Ate in the restaurant one evening. Good choice on the menu. Breakfast is either menu or buffet style. Our visit was to a wedding which was very nice. We'll run etc.

Visited the pub for a meal for a family birthday. There was a wedding on at the time so bad became busy at times but did not disturb us. I had my assistance dog with me, and there is a dog menu which he had a couple of treats from a really enjoyed. One thing I had to raise was that there are no outside bins which is not good as a dog friendly pub - i had nowhere to put a poo bag! The person I spoke to agreed it was strange as said they would raise. Food was really lovely. Service good, staff friendly. Would recommend.

Only went there for a meal. But the place is pleasant enough from outside with a good number of parking spaces. The meals on offer were typically pub meals and portions adequate. The place is also designed to run functions and rooms to hire for the night. However, service charge was added, but no prior mentioned. Disfrutar.

Met some friends for a Sunday roast, nice location good food and friendly helpful staff. Plenty of parking, and a nice Riverside setting, what's not to like. Only downside was a noisy table with some unruly kids but you can't blame the venue for that.

We recently visited The Kingfisher in Bedford for the Jetty Sunday Lunch Après, and we personally found everything to be absolutely delicious. There was plenty of food, the gravy and roast potatoes were especially tasty, and the service was warm and attentive throughout. The setting itself is very atmospheric — a really lovely place to spend a Sunday. I imagine that on a day with very strong winds or driving rain it might feel a little less comfortable given the exposed nature of the area, but for us it was a really lovely and genuinely memorable experience. We’d happily return.
